Xi'an Nuclear Instrument Factory will provide three nuclear fire alarm equipment

On the 22nd of last month, Xi'an Nuclear Instrument Factory (hereinafter referred to as “West China”) signed three contracts with Sanmen Nuclear Power Company and China National Nuclear Engineering Co., Ltd. to supply equipment for fire detection and alarm system equipment for Haimen AP1000 nuclear power unit.

As early as 2008, the Western Nuclear Power successfully developed the nuclear fire alarm system for nuclear power stations and successfully applied it to the Qinshan Phase II expansion project. The system equipment not only has high sensitivity and accurate forecast, but also possesses characteristics of strong resistance to earthquakes, radiation resistance, wind speed, high electromagnetic field resistance, and lightning protection, and can meet the complex environment and safety standards of nuclear power plants, especially nuclear islands. Requirements, the system has been highly approved by the owners and the industry after the system was opened and operated. At present, the plant also undertakes the task of supplying fire alarm control systems for a number of domestic nuclear power plants under construction in Fuqing and Fangjiashan.

It is reported that in recent years, West China Nuclear Power has fully started and completed the research and development of AP1000 required projects. The development of nuclear radiation monitoring system, physical protection system and fire alarm control system for AP1000 project has been transferred to the project implementation and equipment production stage.
