In the five years (2011-2015), the project plans to select 19 or so coal chemical companies that use coal as raw materials, such as large and medium-sized synthetic ammonia, to carry out technological transformation to form a certain scale of coal gasification with advanced coal gasification technology as a leader. Ability to strive for the replacement of 7.8 million tons of atmospheric fixed-bed coal gasification capacity, achieving annual savings of 1.71 million tons of standard coal. In the "Advanced Coal Gasification Technology Promotion and Implementation Plan" recently released, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology mentioned that the chemical industry is one of the high energy-consuming industries, and energy consumption accounts for about 11% of the country's total industrial energy consumption. Coal ammonia, methanol and other coal chemical products with coal gasification as the leader are the key energy-consuming products in the chemical industry, and their energy consumption accounts for about 28% of the total energy consumption of the chemical industry. The coal gasification process is the most energy-intensive process for synthesizing ammonia and methanol in coal chemical production. Taking synthetic ammonia production as an example, the coal gasification process consumes more than 60% of the energy consumption of the entire production process. Coal gasification technology is the key to the chemical processing of coal to achieve the conservation and clean utilization of coal. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology pointed out that these enterprises will play a positive role in the increasingly fierce market competition for coal ammonia and other coal chemical production enterprises to further reduce production costs and achieve energy conservation and consumption reduction.
