Beiqi Linyi: Based on Independent New Energy Passenger Car Commercial Vehicles


The 2012 China International New Energy Vehicle Industry Development and Cooperation Forum and Project Negotiation Conference was grandly opened here. Lin Yi, Chief Engineer of BAIC Group delivered a keynote speech. Lin Yi pointed out that BAIC has established a strategic layout of independent innovation, new energy passenger vehicles and new energy commercial vehicles in the area of ​​new energy vehicles. The basic development platform is dominated by the Beijing Automotive Research Institute and passenger vehicle R&D.

On behalf of BAIC, I will report to BAIC on the practice of new energy vehicle technology development and industrialization.

The first part is a brief introduction of BAIC Group. BAIC Group is among the first camp of China Automobile Group. In 2011, the company realized sales of 1.54 million vehicles, an output value of 2010 billion yuan, and a profit of 15.8 billion yuan. The rapid development of BAIC Group has laid a solid foundation for the industrialization of new energy vehicles. BAIC Group has invested more than 2 billion yuan in the industrialization of new energy vehicles.

This is the entire group's own brand strategy. The first sentence is commercial vehicle first, and Beiqi Foton's commercial vehicle ranks first in the country, and it is necessary to continue to maintain its leading position in the commercial vehicle field. The second sentence is off-road vehicle-oriented, Beiqi known as off-road family. In the 1960s, about 90% of all cars in the country were produced by BAIC. The vast majority of off-road vehicles equipped with troops are also produced by BAIC. The third sentence is passenger car. Beiqi actively promotes the cooperation between Mercedes-Benz and South Korea's Hyundai. It also builds four passenger car production bases nationwide and will form 900,000 self-owned brand cars in one or two years. . The fourth sentence is based on new energy vehicles as a breakthrough point. Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. established two new energy automobile production bases in northern Beijing and Daxing, and used new energy vehicles as the breakthrough for self-owned brands.

This is a strategic plan for our new energy vehicles based on independent innovation, new energy passenger vehicles and new energy commercial vehicles. The basic development platform is dominated by the Beijing Automotive Research Institute and passenger vehicle R&D. The Futian Commercial Vehicle Research Institute will develop its own brand of commercial vehicles. Beiqi New Energy Co., Ltd. was established to carry out R&D and manufacturing of new energy vehicle platforms. The research and development of commercial vehicle new energy vehicles will be carried out at the new energy technology center in Futian.

At the end of 2009, BAIC Group proposed the development strategy of BAIC New Energy Vehicles, vigorously develop pure electric drive vehicles, actively promote hybrid vehicles, and track the development of other new energy vehicles. These three sentences can be interpreted as two meanings. BAIC Group Pure electric drive is the first place, and BAIC has not abandoned the research, development and production of other new energy-saving vehicles such as light mixing, medium mixing, and strong mixing. Beiqi is now also conducting research and development of natural gas vehicles. The first natural gas sedan with its own brand has been launched at a farm show in Shanxi in September. It is currently under development and is preparing to develop natural gas vehicles on two platforms. Break through the core component technology, create a complete industrial chain, introduce external inline, and integrate innovation.

BAIC Group invested RMB 1.7 billion in mining and built a new energy vehicle vehicle company. At the same time, it established a joint venture battery plant and power motor plant in the park. We call it a park and three companies. The Beijing New Energy Auto Technology Industrial Park, led by the automaker, was led by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Daxing District Government. At present, the scale of a single class with an annual output of 20,000 sets of sets has been realized. In the park, in addition to the entire vehicle, the three core technologies of batteries, motors, and electronic control systems are all developed and produced within the park. Some leaders also praised us and said that this is the most complete technological industrial park in China's new energy automotive industry chain.

Under the condition of adhering to independent development, we also cooperate extensively with domestic and foreign advantageous enterprises. We have cooperated with companies in the United States, Europe and Japan. This is a prototype of several scientific and technological cooperation.

The third part of my report is the exploration and practice of BAIC's new energy vehicle industrialization. Director Zhang mentioned that he hopes to solidly promote the work of new energy vehicles. We also need to actively and actively promote the industrialization of new energy vehicles.

This is the history of Beiqi New Energy Company in the exploration of the industrialization of new energy vehicles. In 2006, BAIC undertook the "863" major project of the Ministry of Science and Technology and began to develop a hybrid electric vehicle with dual-rotor motor technology. In 2007, the New Energy Technology Department was set up in the Research Institute to conduct research on new energy vehicles. In 2008, weakly mixed energy-saving cars were developed. In 2009, Beiqi New Energy Automobile Company was established. In 2011, the final assembly workshop for new energy vehicles with an annual output of 20,000 cars was completed. In 2012, 600 pure-electric cars have been branded.

This is the basic block diagram of our production, sales and after-sales service system. There is a New Energy Automobile Product Engineering Institute in the Daxing Industrial Park. Now there are 200 engineers, among which 3 are selected as state-of-the-art talents and the “Thousand Talents Program”. There is a after-sales service team that brings together the after-sales service of batteries, motors and vehicles. There are more than 80 people and there are 6 service outlets in Beijing.

This is the R&D product spectrum of BAIC's energy-saving and new energy vehicles. The above is for passenger cars, such as Midi taxis, 30 series taxis, and S30 pure electric vehicles for express logistics. At present, it is developing middle-to-advanced pure electric cars, which are mainly used for official vehicles and will go offline in the near future.

In respect of new energy commercial vehicles, Beijing Automotive Group provided Beijing with 2,060 3-ton, 8-ton, and 16-ton sanitation vehicles for Beijing. It is currently being put into use in various urban areas in Beijing. In addition, there are pure electric buses and research and development of energy-saving vehicles such as hybrid buses.

This is a complete vehicle test and verification center formed in Daxing's New Energy Industrial Park. At present, it is mainly a central laboratory, which also includes a motor laboratory and a battery laboratory. At present, there are 100 million equipments that have been put into use. There are complete vehicle hub test benches and power system test benches, including all test equipment that can perform battery function tests and safety tests, and can also be used to test automobile parts, including bodywork. Modal tests, tests of the performance and reliability of electrical components, etc. Initially established a test and verification system for electric vehicles and key components.

This is a workshop with an annual output of 20,000 cars in a single shift. It originally had 60 stations and could be mixed-line production. Due to the adjustment of our production system, more than a dozen stations were added. The car started from the white body. All interior and exterior decorations, components and chassis, including bus and electric systems, were all completed in this workshop.

The demonstration application has been submitted to Beijing in large quantities, of which 500 are targeted for sale. The second batch of taxis was operated in three districts and counties in Beijing. I can provide a few of the latest data, and put 50 pure electric taxis in Miyun. Currently, 50 vehicles travel on average 110-120 kilometers per day and can travel up to 200 kilometers. In Pinggu, Pinggu District is slightly smaller than Miyun County, with 50 vehicles traveling between 80 and 90 kilometers. Taxi drivers can earn up to more than 300 yuan a day. Beijing is considering promoting the outskirts. It can solve employment problems and focus on drivers after the 40th and 50th. The second is to solve the problem of black cars. Now we look at the orderly management and the operational results are gradually showing.

We also set up a remote monitoring system based on the requirements of the ministries and commissions of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The system can monitor all of our own electric cars in real time. The data I just provided to you is provided by the test system. You can display all the operational conditions of the day on your computer. 6 maintenance departments can do 24-hour nanny service. Where there is a problem with the car, maintenance personnel will quickly arrive at the scene, or immediately adjust the test, or to replace the vehicle to ensure the operation. Real-time reflection of all battery power can be detected at the monitoring center to ensure the safety of electric vehicles.

We also established a new energy vehicle experience center with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Beijing Science and Technology Commission. There is a multimedia exhibition center, a prototype exhibition center, and a test track that can provide test rides and test drive conditions to interested parties. The center has been built and everyone can experience it.

The last part is the Beijing Automotive Group’s outlook for the new energy automotive market. Japan's new energy vehicles are based on industrial competitiveness as their primary goal. They are also developing hybrid, pure electric, and plug-in models. In particular, the Prius, represented by Toyota, has sold 4 million vehicles worldwide. Europe is the main driving force for reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Despite the recent downward revision of German expectations for the electric vehicle market, from the original 1 million to 600,000, they still emphasize the development of pure electric vehicles. The US takes energy security as its top priority, and vigorously develops plug-in vehicles. It has also sold well in the past two months and can reach monthly sales of several thousand vehicles.

The conventional hybrid vehicle technology has matured and entered the market competition period. Purely electric-driven battery technology is accelerating further, and fuel cells are steadily advancing.

This is a market forecast conducted by some statistical companies. They are optimistic, neutral, and pessimistic. Optimism may speak better, and here we write neutral and pessimistic here. Neutral estimates that in 2015 the world's various types of electric vehicles should account for 8% of the passenger car market, pure electric accounted for about 1%. Pessimistic estimates may be about 1% between 2015 and 2020, and even if it is 1%, the absolute number is also very large.

BAIC is actively promoting the industrialization of new energy vehicles. We have established a complete system in R&D, production, and sales. At present, it is aiming at the national energy-saving and new energy automobile industry planning and the development of a new platform for new energy vehicles. We also hope that industrialization can make progress faster.
