**Winner: Volkswagen Group of America**
To mark the 20th anniversary of its largest research facility outside Germany, the Volkswagen team reimagined the iconic VW bus — a symbol of the company’s heritage and values. By using generative design tools from Autodesk, they redesigned the wheels to be lighter and more efficient, reducing weight and rolling resistance. The result? A 18% lighter wheel set, with development time slashed from 1.5 years to just months. This approach was also applied to the steering wheel, rear seat structure, and side mirror mounts, showcasing the power of digital innovation in automotive design.

**Winner: Airbus**
Airbus is redefining what’s possible in aerospace with its Bionic Partition project. Using advanced generative design techniques, the team created a partition that’s significantly lighter yet just as strong, all while reducing manufacturing costs. The same technology is now being applied to other aircraft components, including the vertical tail plane of the A320. Beyond parts, Airbus is also exploring generative design for optimizing new production facilities, aiming for sustainability and improved workflow efficiency.

Dynamic Attractions has built a reputation for tackling the most complex engineering challenges. From massive bridges to world-class observatories and thrilling theme park rides, this century-old company continues to break limits. Their use of Autodesk’s Product Design & Manufacturing Collection allows them to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and bring even the most ambitious designs to life. With a motto like “Anything you can dream, we can build,†they truly embody the spirit of innovation.

**Winner: LASIMM**
The LASIMM project represents a major leap forward in additive manufacturing. Led by 10 European partners, it aims to create one of the world’s largest hybrid manufacturing machines. Capable of printing metal parts up to 20 feet by 6 feet, this machine combines additive and subtractive capabilities, offering significant cost and production savings. Powered by Autodesk Fusion 360 and PowerMill, LASIMM is setting a new standard for large-scale industrial manufacturing.
**Category: Making a Better World**
**Winner: KickStart International**
In Africa, where many farmers struggle to feed their communities despite vast arable land, KickStart International is making a real difference. Through low-cost irrigation pumps, they’re helping farmers increase crop yields and income. With support from the Autodesk Foundation, KickStart recently completed the design of the MoneyMaker Solar Pump, the most affordable solar pump in Africa. Since its launch, the organization has sold over 330,000 pumps, creating 250,000 businesses and lifting nearly 1.5 million people out of poverty.
