+ SOCKET WELD FITTINGS
Socket weld fittings are commonly used in small bore piping systems, typically for pipe sizes up to NPS 2. These fittings feature a recessed area where the pipe is inserted and then welded using a fillet weld. They offer high leakage integrity and strong structural performance, making them ideal for high-pressure applications. However, due to the use of fillet welds and abrupt geometry, their fatigue resistance is lower than that of butt-welded joints. Still, they provide better performance than most mechanical joining methods.
SW fittings are widely used in various industrial processes, especially in environments where high pressure and tight sealing are required. They come in different types such as elbows, tees, couplings, caps, and reducers.
These fittings are available in multiple classes and sizes, with options for varying wall thicknesses like SCH 80, SCH 160, and XXS.

+THREADED FITTINGS
Threaded joints are one of the oldest methods for connecting piping systems. Like socket weld fittings, they are primarily used for small pipe diameters (Small Bore Piping), generally for piping with a nominal diameter of NPS 2 or smaller. They are easy to install and maintain, but require careful attention to thread quality and sealing to prevent leaks.
