The first 100,000-kilowatt unit of China's first ecological power plant, developed by Shandong Lubei Enterprise Group with a total investment of 4 billion yuan, has been successfully commissioned in one go. It is expected that all six units will be fully operational by the end of this year. This project marks a significant milestone in sustainable energy development in China. The ecological power plant has a total installed capacity of 625,000 megawatts and serves as a national demonstration site for circular economy industrialization. A key feature of the plant is its use of seawater for cooling. After the seawater temperature and salinity increase, it is directed to the Lubei Salt Field for salt production and bromine extraction. Additionally, some of the slag generated from the power plant is used as a blending material at the Lubei Cement Plant, while the remaining portion is sent to the Lubei Brick Factory to produce fly ash bricks. The gypsum sludge from the desulfurization process of the boiler flue gas is also utilized as raw material at the Lubei Sulfuric Acid Plant, contributing to the production of sulfuric acid. This integrated system creates a closed-loop ecological industrial chain, promoting resource efficiency and environmental protection. This innovative approach not only enhances energy utilization but also reduces waste and pollution, setting a new standard for sustainable power generation in the region.
