Hansheng F136 engine for the development of fuel pumps

Defense Transport News, October 14, 2005 Recently, GE Transportation Engine Company has chosen Hamilton-Sundstrand to provide the F136 engine for GE / RORO Fighter Engine Group with a fuel pump. Hansheng is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation.

F136 is an engine developed for Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF). Hamilton Sundstrand expects the total value of the contract to exceed 400 million U.S. dollars over the life of the aircraft.

Hamilton Sundstrand is responsible for the design, development and certification of several fuel system components of the F136 engine, including a set of 3 fuel pumps, associated control valves and fuel filtration equipment. These fuel pumps provide the fuel needed to operate the engine's main combustion chamber, the afterburner and the engine. The initial production of these F136 engine fuel pump systems will begin in 2012.
