On Friday afternoon, April 14, 2017, Prospect Heights and Arlington Heights emergency responders were called to the intersection of Hintz and Schoenbeck Roads following a serious rollover crash. Firefighters and paramedics arrived to find a minivan that had left the road and struck a parked vehicle in a nearby lot. The driver, an older individual, was conscious but needed medical attention. In addition, a Nissan SUV had rolled completely over before coming to rest upright on the sidewalk. Fortunately, all occupants from both vehicles were already out when the crews arrived.
The minivan driver was taken to a local hospital via Prospect Heights Ambulance 9. Meanwhile, two passengers from the SUV declined treatment and refused transport. Emergency crews worked quickly to secure the scene and ensure the safety of all involved.
Photos from the scene show the extent of the damage, with the SUV heavily damaged after the collision and rollover. The area was cleared shortly after the incident, and no further injuries were reported. Local authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
