Micro-lubrication processing application for vertical lathe

Micro-lubrication is applied to vertical lathe processing in two types: external spray type and internal cooling type.


The external spray type micro-lubrication is easy to install, as long as it does not affect the movement of the processing and other components.

The internal cooling type micro-lubrication is the lubricant sprayed into the cutting area in the form of suspended oil mist particles. The key to this is to maintain the reliable flow of suspended particles. Therefore, the structure of the machine tool should ensure the reliable transportation of the suspended particles and the sealing of the passage. The matching fixture is matched to the cutting tool to ensure that the lubricant mist particles reach the cutting area.


Vertical lathes can be applied with either internal cooling or micro-lubrication. A small amount of lubrication system can be equipped according to the specific conditions of the machine. Many vertical vehicles do not have an internal cooling passage. Therefore, the peripheral nozzle is used to convey the MQL oil mist to lubricate the cutting area of ​​the cutting tool. The following is a brief description of its characteristics:


When the lubrication device receives the machining signal, the injection system enters the working state, and the lubricating oil is supplied to the oil by the micro pneumatic lubrication pump at the set frequency, and the sprayed oil mist particles are formed at the nozzle to reach the workpiece surface. The compressed air at each lubrication point is kept in a constant state. When the machining is finished, the lubricating device is simultaneously powered off and stops working. The adjustment of the oil supply frequency is based on the formation of an oil film in the spray area.


The system low level monitoring can give an alarm when the oil level is low, and the lubrication system maintenance personnel are prompted to refuel. The low level alarm signal can be linked with the machine alarm system.


The external spray type lubrication adopts precise metering and micro-lubrication technology to save oil consumption, and reliably sprays the lubricating oil on the surface of the workpiece and the cutting tool in the form of tiny oil mist particles at the terminal to form a lubricating oil film.
