China expresses strong dissatisfaction with the outcome of the anti-dumping anti-subsidy anti-subsidy case against the United States

China's Ministry of Commerce expressed strong dissatisfaction with the outcome of the final anti-dumping anti-subsidy case against the United States. China’s Ministry of Commerce reported that China’s fastener companies responded positively to the EU anti-dumping Xinhua.com Beijing June 30 (Reporter Wang Youling) On the 30th, the United States made a statement on the final anti-dumping and anti-subsidy countermeasures for thin-walled rectangular steel tubes. The US Department of Commerce still insisted on its decision to use the anti-subsidy law in China during the final ruling, and continued to use it in the initial ruling. Some of the wrong practices in China expressed strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition.

According to reports, the US Department of Commerce issued a final ruling on China's anti-dumping anti-dumping measures against thin-walled rectangular steel tubes on June 13 and ruled that the amount of subsidies ranging from 2.17% to 200.58% for Chinese companies involved and 249.12 to 264.64 Unequal dumping margin.

The Chinese side reiterated that since 1984, the United States has determined that it would not apply the anti-subsidy law to so-called “non-market economy countries.” This practice has been confirmed as a case in the US judicial proceedings and has remained unchanged. The U.S. Department of Commerce’s decision in this case is clearly inconsistent with the usual court practice in the United States and the consistent practice of the U.S. Department of Commerce, and is not conducive to the normal development of bilateral economic and trade relations.

What is more serious is that the United States continues its wrong practice of the recent finalization of the standard steel pipe case and continues to believe that the Chinese government has distorted the domestic prices of hot-rolled steel. Chinese thin-walled rectangular steel pipe producers are either from state-owned manufacturing enterprises or from private trade. The company's purchase of hot-rolled steel constitutes a government subsidy. China believes that the ruling is inconsistent with the WTO Subsidies and Countervailing Agreements.

The spokesperson stated that the US’s wrong decision on the determination and calculation of subsidies and the wrong way of continuously countering subsidies on Chinese steel products have greatly damaged the interests of Chinese companies and is unacceptable to the Chinese government and industry. China will study and evaluate the ruling of the final ruling, and will continue to seek a just solution through the WTO dispute settlement mechanism and other legal means in order to effectively safeguard the interests of China and the legitimate rights and interests of corporations.
