In a significant development for Datong, one of China's top 500 automakers has announced plans to invest in the construction of the Datong Auto Trade City. On the morning of the previous day, Mayor Yan Yanbo, along with the Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, met with Pang Qinghua, Chairman and General Manager of the renowned Huge Auto Trade Group, who had arrived in Datong for an inspection at Yungang International Hotel. During their meeting, both sides discussed the potential for large-scale development and reached a mutual agreement. Vice Mayor Li Wuzhang also attended the meeting. The Huge Auto Trade Group is a leading national company specializing in automobile sales and services, with a wide network of distribution outlets across the country. It currently holds 62 auto supplier licenses and represents over 65 car and engineering machinery brands, covering most European, Asian, and domestic brands. This extensive and well-structured network ensures high-quality service and a comprehensive range of products. Since 2005, the company has consistently ranked among the Top 500 Chinese Enterprises and the Top 500 Service Industry in China. It has also been honored as an Excellent Private Enterprise in China for two consecutive years. In 2008, the company achieved sales of 230,000 vehicles, generating total revenue of 24.1 billion yuan. Recently, after thorough discussions and evaluations, the company officially decided to invest in the Datong Auto & Trade City project. According to reports, the Datong Auto Trade City will be located in Cai Village and Dangliu Village, within Datong County. The project plans to use 120 acres of land and invest 200 million yuan in its development. During the meeting, Mayor Yan Yanbo welcomed the delegation and emphasized that Datong possesses strong advantages in urban planning and transportation. He highlighted the importance of leveraging these geographical benefits to promote regional development and stimulate related industries. Yan Yanbo stressed the need for Datong to actively attract investment, projects, and strategic partners, emphasizing the role of large enterprises in upgrading the city’s industrial standards. He also mentioned that several major projects, including the equipment manufacturing industry park and the agricultural product logistics center, are now under construction, offering great opportunities for large companies to expand their operations in Datong. At the same time, he noted that the city is working to overcome challenges and accelerate the restructuring of coal enterprises, which is gradually revitalizing the local economy. Yan Yanbo urged Datong County and relevant departments to do their utmost to support the preparatory work for the Auto Trade City project, ensuring timely implementation, clear responsibilities, and optimized services to expedite the project’s progress. Pang Qinghua expressed appreciation for Datong’s attention and support for the project. He praised the city’s ambitious planning and commitment to large-scale development, which has given the company confidence in its future growth. Pang stated that the company will soon coordinate with relevant departments to push forward the project as soon as possible and is eager to further expand its business in Datong, contributing to the city’s economic development.
