In a significant development for Datong's automotive industry, one of China's top 500 automakers has announced plans to invest in the construction of Auto Trade City. This decision was made after a recent meeting between Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Yan Yanbo and Pang Qinghua, Chairman and General Manager of the Huge Auto Trade Group, who had arrived in Datong for an inspection at Yungang International Hotel. The two parties engaged in constructive discussions on the development of the "big" project and reached a mutual agreement. Vice Mayor Li Wuzhang also attended the meeting. The Huge Auto Trade Group is a leading national automobile marketing company specializing in vehicle sales services. With a nationwide network of distribution outlets and 62 auto supplier licenses, the company offers a wide range of brands, including most European, Asian, and domestic car models. Its comprehensive brand portfolio and high-quality service have created a well-structured car marketing network. Since 2005, the company has consistently ranked among the Top 500 Chinese Enterprises and the Top 500 Service Industry in China, and it has received the title of Excellent Private Enterprise in China for two consecutive years. In 2008, the company sold over 230,000 vehicles, generating a revenue of 24.1 billion yuan. In February of this year, after extensive negotiations and due diligence, the company officially decided to invest in the construction of Datong Auto & Trade City. According to reports, the project will be located in Cai Village and Dangliu Village in Datong County, covering 120 acres of land with a planned investment of 200 million yuan. During the meeting, Mayor Yan Yanbo welcomed the delegation and emphasized that Datong possesses strong urban and transportation advantages, which are crucial for leveraging geographical influence and driving related industries forward. He highlighted the importance of attracting capital, projects, and strategic investors to achieve substantial growth. He also noted that Datong’s equipment manufacturing industry park and agricultural product logistics center are currently under construction, offering excellent opportunities for large enterprises to expand their operations in the city. Yan Yanbo further mentioned that the city is actively working to overcome challenges and accelerate the merger and reorganization of coal companies, with the local economy gradually recovering. He urged Datong County and relevant departments to fully support the preparatory work for the Auto Trade City, ensuring timely progress, clear responsibilities, and optimized services to expedite the project's implementation. Pang Qinghua expressed gratitude for Datong’s strong interest in the project, stating that the city’s ambitious planning and commitment to large-scale development have greatly encouraged the group. He pledged to work closely with the relevant units to fast-track the project’s start and expressed willingness to further expand its presence in Datong, contributing to the city's economic growth.
