At a recent commendation meeting held by the Jiangxi Provincial Economic and Trade Commission, Jiujiang Petrochemical's 1 million-ton-per-year coking unit and 1.2 million-ton-per-year hydrotreating unit were recognized as outstanding industrial engineering renovation projects in Jiangxi Province. These projects represent significant progress in modernizing the company's refining capabilities while emphasizing environmental sustainability and operational efficiency. The Coking and Hydrogenation Plant, part of Sinopec's strategic development plan, is a key project that combines eco-friendly technology with profitability. The total investment exceeded 500 million yuan, reflecting the scale and importance of the initiative. The coking unit involved the construction of 38,500 cubic meters of earthwork, 4,500 cubic meters of concrete, and 1,899 tons of steel structures, while the hydrotreating unit required 4,100 cubic meters of earthwork, 2,400 cubic meters of concrete, and 700 tons of steel. Despite the complexity, the entire facility was completed and put into operation within just over one year, achieving full production on March 22 of this year. The successful commissioning of these five major units has significantly optimized Jiujiang Petrochemical’s equipment structure, creating a new source of profit growth. This achievement not only enhances the company's financial performance but also supports its commitment to environmental protection, marking a milestone in the company's sustainable development journey.
