House fire in Arlington Heights, 3-17-16

This is from Larry Shapiro:

On Thursday evening, March 17, 2016, firefighters from Arlington Heights were called to a house at 127 N. Evanston Avenue after smoke was reported coming from the property. Upon arrival, first responders noticed heavy smoke billowing from a split-level home located in a cul-de-sac. The situation quickly escalated, and the alarm was upgraded to a Code 4 working fire, prompting additional units from Arlington Heights, along with a truck from Mount Prospect and an engine from Prospect Heights to respond.

The crews worked swiftly to gain access to the attic through a scuttle and managed to bring the fire under control within just 20 minutes. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze before it could spread further, preventing potential damage to the structure and nearby homes.
