This is from Larry Shapiro: On Thursday evening, March 17, 2016, firefighters from Arlington Heights were called to a house on N. Evanston Avenue at 127. Smoke was reported coming from the split-level home located in a cul-de-sac. Upon arrival, first responders saw heavy smoke and quickly escalated the call to a Code 4 working fire. This prompted additional units from Arlington Heights, along with a truck from Mount Prospect and an engine from Prospect Heights, to respond. The fire was contained in the attic, and crews managed to gain access through a scuttle opening. Thanks to swift action, the fire was fully under control within just 20 minutes. It's clear that the coordinated effort of multiple departments played a crucial role in preventing further damage.
