Shijiazhuang Gongda Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd. has recently won a major international bid for the 40,000-ton barium sulfate project at Hebei Xinji Chemical Industry Group. China is one of the world's largest producers of mineral and inorganic salt processing equipment. However, traditional methods for drying materials like barium sulfate have relied heavily on rotary kiln dryer systems. These systems are known for high energy consumption, particularly due to air blowing and induced draft processes. Moreover, they often use coal-fired flue gas as a heat source, increasing both fuel costs and post-processing expenses. The environmental impact is also significant, with high levels of pollution and operational costs.
In recent years, some companies have tried using two-stage paddle dryers or rotary flash dryers to improve efficiency. Despite these efforts, challenges such as high power consumption and inadequate heat transfer remain. The new double paddle-disc combined drying device addresses these issues by enhancing the single-drying capacity based on the advantages of traditional disc dryers. It reduces energy consumption by up to one-third compared to conventional air-flow drying methods and by as much as one-fifth when compared to other systems.
Thanks to its closed operation design, the device uses less gas and generates minimal dust. This ensures that the dried material remains contained, preventing airborne dispersion and reducing environmental and health risks. As a result, the working environment becomes safer, and the exhaust emissions meet strict environmental protection standards.
