China Petrochemical Corporation issued a press release stating that the second phase of the 50-million-ton/year cracking catalyst complex unit of Qilu Branch of China Petrochemical's catalyst started on May 28th. The total investment of the project is 339.6 million yuan, and the product includes 40,000 tons/year of cracking catalyst and 9,000 tons/year of molecular sieve. The main project is scheduled to be completed in October 2012, and qualified products will be produced in August 2013. After the project is completed and put into production, the production capacity of Qilu Branch's catalyst will exceed 123,000 tons/year.
