New Autodesk Construction Cloud features help teams make early, more sustainable decisions
In the construction industry, approximately 70% of rework stems from a gap between design intent and what can actually be built. As projects progress, the cost and complexity of making changes only increase. By focusing on constructability during the early design phase, teams can prevent costly rework later on. Since most project value is created in the initial stages—when errors are easier and cheaper to fix—it's more important than ever to get things right from the start, which makes consistent communication a top priority.
To address this, we're introducing new tools designed to help project teams make better decisions earlier, without requiring deep technical knowledge or specialized software. These updates will offer practical support that helps teams prioritize tasks, evaluate trade-offs, build on intuition, and validate assumptions—ensuring that every decision is well-informed and aligned with project goals.
Let’s explore how these new features will bridge the gap between design and execution.
**Access relevant information through early and frequent communication**
For project teams, it's essential to trust that all documents are up-to-date, accurate, and ready for construction. When information is outdated, hard to find, or irrelevant, it leads to confusion, disputes, and mistakes.
To solve this, we’re launching **Correspondence**, a centralized platform within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) that organizes all project communications in one place. This tool allows users to search, manage, and store all project-related messages, whether they come from ACC or external email platforms like Outlook or Gmail. With everything in one location, teams can easily access key decisions, improve transparency, and reduce conflicts.
Chris Rossetto, VDC Manager at Hansen Yuncken, shared his thoughts: “The Correspondence tool is a game-changer. It has the potential to transform how we manage project data and could bring us closer to a unified common data environment.â€
**Simplify model understanding with Model Quality Workflows**
Design models can often overwhelm field teams. To address this, we’re introducing **Model Quality Workflows**, a set of tools that help translate complex design models into construction-ready versions. The latest release allows team members—from BIM managers to project engineers—to create custom views tailored for onsite teams. These views are easy to understand and highly relevant, helping improve installation efficiency and accuracy.

*Advanced filters let you customize models for both office and field use.*
We’re also releasing **Sheets Collection**, a feature that simplifies the organization of drawings and sheets. For multi-building projects, this tool allows teams to store and manage drawings with identical names, reducing the need for manual workarounds. This centralization streamlines document management and ensures all team members have access to the right information, regardless of where they are.
**Reduce system complexity and streamline workflows**
In AEC, time is often wasted switching between different apps, and data is frequently siloed across disconnected systems. This leads to delays and poor decision-making. With ACC, we aim to keep workflows within a single application and maintain a shared system of record.
One of our latest releases is **Bridge for Closed RFIs**, which enables users to share closed RFI responses across projects or accounts using Bridge. This ensures that all stakeholders have the answers they need, improving confidence in decision-making. It also helps retain critical information throughout the project lifecycle and beyond.
Another example of our commitment to smarter decision-making is the **Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (EC3)** integration with ACC. This tool allows users to calculate carbon emissions directly within their system of record, empowering teams to make sustainable material choices and align with green building standards.
**Empower productivity and maintain project clarity**
Manual processes and misalignment between 2D and 3D workflows often lead to poor decisions that impact schedules and budgets. Our latest updates focus on increasing project transparency and delivering only the most relevant information to teams at each stage of the project.
By simplifying access to accurate and timely data, we help teams work more efficiently and make better decisions. With these improvements, we’re supporting our customers in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
