DDi13 engine is a new generation of heavy-duty diesel engine independently developed by Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle. It has three advantages: economy, superior reliability, and power. Successful ignition means that the Dongfeng commercial vehicle powertrain business will enter a new stage. With the rapid development of the domestic logistics and transportation industry and the continuous improvement of the road environment, the market's requirements for engine efficiency and power are also rising. The 13-liter engine is considered as the mainstream choice for the heavy-duty truck's gold displacement and future power. In this context, the Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle DDi13 engine came into being. Dong Qing’s party committee member and deputy general manager, Yang Qing, general manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., Jiang Xuefeng, deputy general manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., and Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles Technology Center leaders, all senior executives, and members of the DDi13 engine project team attended the lighting ceremony. “In the course of upgrading our national emissions regulations and upgrading our high-powered demand, we finally have our own sustenance. It is understood that the DDi13 engine engine development project started the development of concept technology in 2014. On January 11, 2018, the first product-level prototype was successfully tested. It will become a heavy-duty engine that meets the six-stage emission standard of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle.
