It is understood that, as an important part of the engine division's map, the heavy-duty diesel engine Huishan base draws on domestic and foreign advanced green factory design concepts from the beginning of planning, from the factory planning and design, construction design and ancillary engineering, manufacturing technology and process equipment. Starting from other areas, a variety of energy conservation and environmental protection measures were adopted and the high-end positioning of the “low-carbon plant” was established.

In terms of low-carbon, Huishan Base takes the lead in using ground-source heat pump technology, natural gas heating and drying, and other measures to achieve low-carbon production. Cumulative savings in electricity use exceeded 17 million kwh, reducing carbon emissions by 5,746 tons. In the aspect of emission reduction, through the introduction of equipment for centralized circulation of cooling fluids and equipment for centralized suction of mist and dust, the cumulative reduction of non-methane total hydrocarbon emissions by approximately 5.04 tons, reduction of wastewater discharge by approximately 150,000 tons, and reduction in COD emissions by approximately 11%. Ton. In respect of energy conservation, the daily sewage treatment capacity of the plant has been upgraded from the original 2,700 cubic meters/day to 3,200 cubic meters/day by renovating the sewage pipe network. It is estimated that the engine division will use 400,000 tons of reclaimed water each year, saving water bills of more than 1 million yuan in only one year. In addition, the engine division creatively adopted the “EGR+DOC+DPF” technology route to strictly control pollutant emissions, resulting in a cumulative 28% drop in engine carbon monoxide emissions, a 30% year-on-year decrease in hydrocarbon emissions, and a cumulative PM particulate accumulation The drop of 95% effectively reduced the pollution of exhaust gas to the atmosphere.

The cold test technology, as the “black technology” of the engine division, can effectively save diesel consumption, reduce exhaust emissions, and achieve green manufacturing. It is understood that in June 2012, the first test cold test bench for the engine division was completed, and in June 2015, cold test batch production began on heavy-duty engines. As of now, the proportion of cold-exchanging engines for long oil change engines has reached 90%, and it has occupied a leading position in the industry. In December 2017, the 6DM3 engine also began mass production of cold tests. 6DM series engine cold test technology has been implemented so far, has won 9 national honors, 2 provincial honors, Wuxi municipal honors.

According to the relevant person in charge of the engine business department, after the implementation of the cold test, the engine test capability of the Engine Division was increased from an annual output of 75,000 units to an annual output of 125,000 units, saving over 10 million yuan in technological transformation investment. At the same time, the consumption of diesel in a single 6DM engine was reduced by 10.86 kilograms. Since the implementation of the cold test process, diesel oil consumption has been saved by more than 800 tons. The CO2 emissions of a single 6DM engine was reduced by 36.36 kg. Since the implementation of the cold test process, CO2 emissions have been reduced by more than 2,500 tons. In addition, after the engine division implemented the cold test technology, the quality of parts and the quality of engine mounts reached a higher level. The failure rate of zero kilometer was reduced by 78.6%, and the quality improvement effect was very significant.

In addition to the construction of heavy-duty diesel engine Huishan base, in 2011, the Engine Division invested in the establishment of an engine remanufacturing production base in the new district, and made remanufacturing an important means and approach for cleanliness, environmental protection, and energy saving. It is reported that the remanufacturing base of the engine division not only has mature equipment for remanufacturing in Europe and America, but also uses the most advanced computer ERP software management system throughout the production process to implement scientific and modern management of the entire process of remanufacturing. At present, the remanufacturing production base of the engine division has formed a remanufacturing capability with international advanced level, forming a circular economy model of “resources-products-waste products-remanufacturing products”.

Up to now, the annual added value of products recovered by the engine remanufacturing base has approached RMB 125 million, saving 7 million kilowatt-hours, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 300 tons, and contributing due diligence to the development of circular economy.

The construction of a "low-carbon plant" is only a small step in the environmental protection plan of the engine division. The engine business department has always been in line with the development trend of the green economy. At present, it has gradually built a green product system with a complete range of products and a wide variety of products. Not only has it been enthusiastically sought after by domestic card enthusiasts, but it has also been recognized by overseas users.

In 2017, the Aowei CA6DL3-35E6 diesel engine matched the coach and passed the PEMS test of the vehicle organized by the British Vehicle Accreditation Agency ("VCA") at one time, becoming the first domestic diesel engine to pass the Euro V C phase emission test, achieving almost Zero emissions.

In 2018, Conway 4DW93-45DT4 diesel engine officially passed the T4 Final stage emission certification of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and obtained the 2018 model certificate, becoming the first multi-cylinder diesel engine in the United States to obtain this certification.
