On December 12, 2017, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation between Beijing Environment Exchange and Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. (referred to as Foton Motor) was held at the Beijing Equity Exchange.
Since August 2011, the Beijing Municipal Government has begun to implement the old-fashioned motor vehicle elimination renewal subsidy policy to improve Beijing's air quality.
At present, heavy-duty diesel vehicles are the major polluters for motor vehicles, and controlling the emissions of heavy-duty diesel vehicles is a top priority.
On September 20, 2017, the Beijing Municipal Government issued the “Beijing Municipality to Promote the Elimination of High-emission Old Diesel Freight Carsâ€, giving government subsidies to car owners who eliminated old diesel freight cars, in order to further accelerate Beijing’s high emissions. In accordance with the agreement, Foton Motor will provide a maximum of 6,000 yuan for car purchases for eligible car owners to replace old diesel freight cars, and provide one-stop services such as financial loans and procedures for car owners.
