Still & Box Alarm in a Chicago scrap yard, 12-6-15

Breaking news from the scrap yard located on Marcey and Cortland streets:

• A still and box alarm has been activated due to a massive pile of scrap metal catching fire.
• The incident is occurring at S & B Marcey & Cortland, where a large accumulation of scrap material is ablaze. Firefighters have reported multiple large-diameter water lines being used to surround and contain the flames.
• Due to the hazardous materials involved, Level 1 Hazmat protocols have been initiated at the site, following orders from Battalion Chief 3 (BC3).
