House fire in Berwyn, 7-15-16 (more)
This is Jeff Braun Jr., COUNTY-WIDE FIRE PHOTOGRAPHY:
Around 5:30 PM on Friday, July 15th, 2016, the Berwyn Fire Department started receiving multiple calls regarding a structure fire at 1236 Cuyler Avenue. By the time the initial units arrived on the scene, they confirmed it was a fully involved building fire. Quint 9Q1 was quickly positioned at the front of the building to use its master stream to tackle the majority of the flames on the delta side, while Truck Co. 904 was stationed right behind them to handle the fire on the alpha side. North Riverside Engine Co. 808 was also dispatched as mutual aid and set up operations on 13th Street. Around 6:00 PM, Forest Park Engine Co. 402 joined the response, driving down Cuyler Avenue before the crew members began setting up their equipment at the fire site. Many thanks to all the firefighters who worked tirelessly to contain the situation.

As I stood there capturing these moments, I couldn’t help but feel admiration for the dedication and professionalism of our local firefighters. Their quick response and coordinated efforts were crucial in managing such a challenging situation. It’s always humbling to witness firsthand how they work together under pressure to protect our community.
