Hey everyone, here's some info and photos of fire department snow plows I’ve come across recently.
First up is the Lombard Fire Department with their 2012 Ford truck equipped with a Western Plow. It’s a solid rig for sure! Frankfort Fire Protection District also has an impressive setup with their 2008 F-350 pickup sporting a Western Plow. Great to see these departments being prepared for winter weather.
Here’s another one from Harry: Westmont’s Tahoe model from 2007-2008 features a Boss Plow. Super cool to see such dedicated vehicles out there helping keep roads clear during snowy seasons.
And here’s more from Harry: Frankfort FPD had earlier models too, like the 2002-2003 Ford pickups fitted with Western Plows. They really mean business when it comes to keeping their area safe and accessible.
Long Grove Brush 55 is running a 2011 Ford with a Boss Plow, while Lincolnshire’s old Utility 51—now known as Utility 52—is rocking a Western Plow on its 2000 F-250. Orland Fire Protection District also joined the list with their 2008 F-350 crew cab featuring a Western Plow.
Finally, Lombard FD has another F-350 pickup from 2005 with a Western Plow attachment. These departments truly deserve credit for maintaining top-notch equipment to serve their communities effectively.
I just wanted to share these photos and details because I think it’s important to recognize how hard these firefighters work year-round—not just in emergencies but also in harsh conditions like heavy snowfall. Hats off to them!
