I just got this update from John Tulipano. Around noon today, the Warrenville Fire Protection District was called out to a report of a chimney fire at 29W601 Ridge. As more calls came in, DuComm escalated it to a general alarm. The chief arrived and quickly determined that the fire had spread through the roof. I arrived just before Warrenville Truck 11 did. By then, the first engine crew had already started an interior attack on the flames. It seemed like the chimney, part of the roof, and some of the attic were affected. The interior team managed to douse most of the fire from the second floor, and within about 15 minutes, they had it mostly under control.
