Crown Point burndown

I just came across an interesting incident while driving on I-65 near Crown Point last night. As I was cruising along, I noticed what looked like a completely engulfed house off the side of the road—it seemed abandoned or maybe recently vacated. Out of curiosity, I followed the thick plume of smoke and stumbled upon something unexpected: Crown Point firefighters were actually wrapping up their training session by setting fire to a structure they had been practicing in for the past three days. I couldn’t help but grab my camera and snap a few photos and even some video footage. It’s not every day you get to witness such intense training exercises firsthand. The energy and focus among the firefighters were palpable as they worked through their final stages of extinguishing the blaze. Here are a couple of shots I managed to take: ![Firefighters with hose lines at night](source) ![Silhouette of firefighters against the flames](source) ![Fire engine at the scene](source) ![Firefighter battling flames with a hose](source) ![The house after being consumed by fire](source) ![Crown Point fire engine](source) If you're interested in seeing more images, they’re available on [shapirophotography.net](link). It’s always fascinating to see how these professionals prepare for real-life situations, and this definitely gave me a glimpse into their world.
