Northbrook firefighters responded to a multi-vehicle accident this afternoon at Pfingsten and Techny Road, where a car was involved in a collision with an IDOT sewer vacuum truck. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered one individual trapped in the vehicle who required immediate extrication, along with two additional injured individuals. Three ambulances were dispatched to the scene to assist with patient transport.
Tim Olk, a local resident, captured several images from the accident site, providing a rare glimpse into the scene. The photos show firefighters working carefully to free the victim, as well as the extent of the damage caused by the collision. One image highlights the IDOT truck that had struck the car, while others show the wrecked vehicle and the team of first responders on the scene.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, but no fatalities have been reported at this time. Emergency crews worked swiftly to ensure the safety of all involved and to clear the area for traffic. Local authorities are urging drivers to remain cautious in the area as they continue their efforts.
